Build and launch tools

Write a build pack for your coding agent and a launch kit, find a name and your first customers, and grade your landing page.

The build and launch tools turn a project into what you need to ship: files for your AI coding tool, a launch kit, a name, places to find your first customers and a grade for your landing page. Open Build tools from the menu.

How runs work

  • Each tool card shows its price in credits, and a confirm dialog shows the price before anything runs. See Credits and credit packs.
  • Most of them run in the background. You can leave the page: the result is saved in your tool history, and a notice in your inbox tells you when it is ready.
  • If a run fails, the credits it held go back to your balance, except any that cover work TrendGap was already billed for.
  • When you run a tool on a project, from its journey or the project picker in the form, the result is kept in that project.

Build pack

On Pro and above, the "Build pack" writes three files for an AI coding agent from one of your active projects: PRD.md (what to build, written as a product spec), AGENTS.md (working instructions, with commands for the stack you picked) and an "Agent skill file". It draws on the project, its idea and the stored research on its niche.

  1. Open "Build pack" and choose your "Project".
  2. Read the price line: it shows the included build packs you have left this period, and what a pack costs after that.
  3. Click "Write the build pack" and confirm.
  4. When it is ready, copy each file or click "Download all (.zip)". Unzip it in the main folder of your code project, where coding agents look for these files.

If your project has not changed, asking again within a set time opens your earlier pack for free. The pack is drafted with AI, so review it before you build on it.

Launch kit

On paid plans, the "Launch kit" writes a brand package (name ideas, tagline, colors and voice), positioning, landing page text with a ready web page, and launch posts for one of your projects. Pick a "Tone" and click "Write the launch kit". Then download "Landing page (.html)" or "Launch kit (.md)", or click "Copy HTML". The web page is one self-contained file with no scripts and no tracking. Numbers in the kit come only from your own project text. The kit is drafted with AI, so check the names and every claim before you publish.

Name and domain generator

On every plan, the "Name and domain generator" suggests names for your product. Fill in "Describe the product" or pick a project, then choose the "Domains to check" and the "App Store country". The first names on the list are checked. Each shows whether its domain is "Likely free" or "Registered", and whether an App Store app has the same or a similar name. "Likely free" means the registry had no record of the domain when we checked. Register it before you rely on it, and check that the name is not someone's trademark.

First customers finder

On paid plans, the "First customers finder" looks for communities, forums, newsletters and threads in web search results and on Hacker News. Fill in "What would your customers search for?" and, if you like, "Who are they? (optional)". AI then suggests channels, each with a first step to reach people there. Every link comes from the searches, never from AI. Type plain words: the form does not accept search commands such as site:.

Landing page grader

The "Landing page grader" is on every plan. It sits in the Tools hub, so when Tools is in your menu you find it under Tools, not Build tools. Enter the "Page address", choose mobile or desktop under "Measure as", and run it. It reads your page, runs Google PageSpeed Insights (a speed test) and checks basics such as "Page title", "Mobile viewport" and "A clear call to action". The grade out of 100 comes from these checks only. AI then writes "What to fix". If the page cannot be read, no credits are used.

On Pro and above, a project can re-grade its site every week: turn on "Re-grade the landing page weekly" in the project's settings. Each re-grade spends the grader's credits. If your balance is too low, that week is skipped and a notice in your inbox tells you.
