Tools is where you run your own research: keywords, competitors, your website, AI visibility and app store listings. Each tool shows its price before you start. Most tools ask you to confirm first and save the result, so you can open it again for free.
Open the Tools hub
- In the menu, under "Validate and build", click "Tools".
- To narrow the list, pick a group with the filter above the tiles: "Research", "Competitors", "Site health", "AI visibility" or "App stores". "All tools" shows everything.
- Check the price on each tile. It says "Free", or the credits one run uses. Some tools are priced per batch of keywords or per block of pages. Tools with a lite and a full version show two prices.
- Click a tile to open the tool.
Run a tool
- Fill in the form at the top of the page. The "Good to know" card beside it shows the price of a run and your balance. It also says how long your plan keeps runs and how credits are charged.
- Click the run button. It repeats the price, for example "Run · … credits". Free tools say so on the button, such as "Run free" or "Check · free".
- A confirm box opens with the price and your balance. Click "Run · … credits" to start, or "Cancel". For a free run, the box says so and the button reads "Run it · free". Nothing is charged before you confirm.
- Read the result. It opens below the form.
Ran the same input recently? Then the confirm box says "You ran this on …" and offers "Open saved run" instead of a new run. Opening a saved run is free.
Waiting for results
Some tools answer while you wait. Bigger jobs run in the background, so you can leave the page. The SEO audit, the forum finder and the full AI visibility check are examples. When a job is done, the result lands in your run history. If you have "Inbox" in your menu, a notice arrives there too.
Your run history
- On the hub, "Recent runs" lists your latest runs. Each one shows its status: "Done", "Running" or "Failed".
- Each tool page has a table of your runs of that tool. Click "Open" to see a past result. Opening a saved run never uses credits.
- How far back your history goes depends on your plan. The line next to "Recent runs" tells you. Older runs are hidden, not deleted, and come back on a plan that keeps runs longer.
- To remove a run, click the bin icon ("Delete this run") in the history. This also stops a monthly re-run set on it. A run that is still in progress can be deleted once it finishes.
What you can do with a result
- "Edit and run again" fills the form with the same input, ready to change.
- "Share" creates a read-only link, on paid plans. See Share, PDF and export.
- "CSV" and "PDF" downloads are on Pro and above, for the tools that offer them. Most tools also offer a Markdown download (a plain text file) on every plan.
- "Compare with" puts two of your runs side by side. It works for keyword research, keyword difficulty, backlinks and the SEO audit, once you have a second finished run of the same tool.
- "Monthly re-run" is on Pro and above, for the tools that offer it. It runs the same input again each month with fresh data and keeps every run to compare.
- Each monthly re-run uses the tool's credits. If your balance is too low, that re-run is skipped and you get a notice.
If a run fails
Credits are held when a run starts. If the run fails, you get back every credit we were not billed for. The run keeps only the credits for data or AI work a provider already charged, and never more than its price. The failed run says how many it kept, or "No credits were used." Click "Try again" to run it once more.
Background jobs follow the same rule: you pay only for what comes back. For example, the SEO audit keeps the credits for the pages it actually crawled and returns the rest.
Credits
Browsing ideas, trends and reports never costs credits. Your balance shows on the hub. In Settings, the "Credits" tab lists the tools you can run with credits on your plan, with their prices. How credits work explains the rules. See also Credits and credit packs.
