Share links, PDF and export

You can take a report out of TrendGap in several ways: a read-only link for a partner or a client, a PDF, a copy for your notes or an AI tool, and the evidence as a spreadsheet file. Most of the buttons sit in the row under the report head.

Who gets what

• "Copy as Markdown": every plan, on the reports you can open.
• "Open as Markdown (.md)", in the arrow menu next to "Copy as Markdown": paid plans.
• "Download JSON", in the same menu: Pro and above.
• "Share link": paid plans.
• "Download CSV" of the evidence: paid plans.
• "PDF": Pro and above.

Your plan sets how many share links you can keep active and how many PDFs you can save each period. The share dialog and the "Share links" tab in Settings show how many links are active. Hover the "PDF" button to see how many PDFs you have used this period. See Plans and pricing.

Share a read-only link

1. On the report, click "Share link".
2. Under "Sections to show", tick the sections the link should include. "Select all" and "Clear" help.
3. Under "The link expires after", choose how long the link lasts.
4. Click "Create link".
5. In "Your link is ready", click "Copy link". Copy it now: TrendGap keeps only a fingerprint of the link, so this is the only time it is shown.

Anyone with the link can read the sections you picked, without signing in. The page never shows your name or your account. Its figures are read from TrendGap's data each time someone opens it, through your plan.

A shared report shows only a few recent complaints, no CSV, and no text from items the report only links to or summarizes. "Willingness to pay", "Market size" and "Recent launches in this space" are not part of a share link. If your plan stops including share links, the link stops working, and on a plan with fewer links the ones beyond its number are paused.

Manage and revoke links

Open Settings and the "Share links" tab, or click "Manage share links" in the share dialog. Each link shows what it links to, its status, its views, when it was last opened and when it expires. Click "Revoke" to stop a link at once. A revoked or expired link shows "Link not available".

Save a PDF

On Pro and above, click "PDF". The button reads "Preparing PDF…" while TrendGap builds the file, then your browser saves it.

• The PDF is your own view of the report. It holds what your plan shows, without text from items the report only links to or summarizes.
• TrendGap does not keep a copy, and a PDF that fails is not counted.
• On other plans, a short note in place of the button says which plans include it.
• If you see "PDF is not available right now" instead, try again later.

Copy as Markdown or JSON

Markdown is plain text with simple formatting, such as headings and lists. "Copy as Markdown" copies the report that way, with its sources and data dates, ready to paste into your notes or an AI tool.

On paid plans, the small arrow next to it opens a menu with "Open as Markdown (.md)", a page with the same text. On Pro and above the menu also has "Download JSON". JSON is a data format that scripts and many spreadsheet tools can read.

Download the evidence as CSV

1. In the "Evidence" section, click "See all … quotes" or "Open the evidence list".
2. At the bottom of the "Evidence" drawer, click "Download CSV".

A CSV file opens in any spreadsheet app. It has one row per complaint: the date posted, source, product, version, star rating, storefront, the excerpt and its link. It holds every item your plan shows in the list, not only the ones your filters leave. Some items are left out, such as those whose text the report does not show and the forum discussions it summarizes.
