Two groups of the Tools hub cover search and your own website. "Research" finds demand and shows how hard it is to win. "Site health" checks your pages. Every run follows the same rules.

Research: find demand

  • "Keyword research": type a "Seed keyword", the word or phrase to start from. Then pick a "Mode", a "Country" and a "Language".
  • You get related keywords with their search volume, a 12-month trend, difficulty, cost per click and intent. Intent is what the searcher wants, such as to learn or to buy.
  • The modes: "All" gives keyword ideas around the seed. "Questions" gives how, what and why searches. "Buyer intent" gives searches from people ready to compare or buy.
  • "Switching and complaints" asks for a "Product or app name". Type an app people complain about to see searches for alternatives, comparisons, canceling, prices and things not working.
  • "Amazon" shows Amazon searches in the United States, with search volume only. Some modes run on English markets only.

Research: how hard is it to win?

  • "Keyword difficulty": paste your keywords, one per line or separated by commas. Each gets a score from 0 to 100 and an "Easy", "Medium" or "Hard" band. It is priced per batch of keywords. The form shows how many keywords your plan scores in one run; Pro and above score more.
  • "SERP checker": a SERP is a page of search results. Type a "Keyword", then pick a country, a language and a "Device". It reads Google's top 10 for that search. For each result you see its estimated traffic, its page type and the keywords its site ranks for. It also flags AI Overviews (Google's AI summary at the top) and forum results.
  • The forum finder: under "Search by", pick "Domain" or "Topic", then click "Find threads · … credits". It looks at the Google results for the top keywords of that domain or topic and picks out discussion threads on forums and Q&A sites. Those are the places worth answering. It runs in the background, so you can leave the page.

When Market Radar is on, the Research group also holds the "Source scan" (paid plans). It groups recent complaints into pains. See Keyword monitors and scans.

Track your Google positions

The "Rank tracker" tile sits in the Research group. It is part of paid plans and uses no credits.

  1. Open "Rank tracker".
  2. Type "Your domain", then your keywords under "Keywords (one per line)".
  3. Click "Track … keywords".

Positions are checked every Monday. On Pro and above, some or all of your keywords are also checked every day. The table shows each keyword's position, how it moved and the page that ranks.

A keyword below the tracked range shows as below it, never as a guessed number. Tracked keywords are also watches. If you have "Watchlist" in your menu, they show there too, with alerts when a position moves.

Site health: audit your pages

  • "SEO audit": type your "Site" and choose "Pages to crawl". It visits (crawls) your pages and returns a list of fixes, most important first. You also get Lighthouse scores (Google's speed and quality checks) for the start page, and flags for keywords used too often.
  • The SEO audit is priced per block of pages, and you pay only for the pages it actually crawled. Your plan sets the most pages one audit can crawl. It runs in the background.
  • "Landing page grader": type the "Page address" and choose "Measure as" desktop or mobile. It reads the page, runs Google PageSpeed Insights and checks the basics a landing page needs. The grade comes from those checks. AI then suggests what to fix first. It runs in the background too.

Free site checks

These three tools use no credits on any plan.

  • "Schema markup validator": schema markup is code that tells Google what a page is about. Choose "Check a page" or "Paste markup", then click "Run free". It checks the two common formats, JSON-LD and microdata, against the properties Google documents for common types. Passing is a good sign, but Google still decides whether to show a rich result (a result with extras such as star ratings).
  • "Sitemap generator": a sitemap lists your pages for search engines. Type the "Site or section to crawl" and choose "Pages to list". Our crawler, TrendGapBot, follows your links and obeys your robots.txt. "Copy sitemap.xml" copies the result. Your plan sets how many pages it lists.
  • "SERP snippet simulator": type a "Title", a "Meta description" and a "Page address", and pick a "Device". You see how your page could look in Google's results. It runs in your browser: nothing is sent or saved, so it has no history.
