Your ideas and research are yours. This page sums up what TrendGap keeps, what stays private and how to delete it. The Privacy Policy is the full text.
What TrendGap keeps
- Account details: your name, your email address and your password. The password is stored only in a scrambled form that can't be turned back into it. If you sign in with Google, we keep your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Billing records: your plan, billing cycle and status. Your card details go straight to Polar and its payment processor and never touch TrendGap's servers.
- Your credit balance and a record of every credit movement.
- What you create: tracked niches, lists, watches, alert rules, saved searches, ideas in your vault, Ask TrendGap conversations, projects, tool runs, share links, claims and your founder profile.
- Your email choices, a record of which emails we sent you, and the feedback you send from the app.
- Details of each signed-in session, such as its IP address (your internet address) and browser. They keep you signed in and protect your account.
What stays private
- Ideas you evaluate, and every report about them, are yours alone: never published, never shown on public pages, never used by TrendGap's own research, and never used by TrendGap to train models.
- Your founder profile answers are visible only to you.
- Keywords you type and what you enter in a tool stay with your account. They never become part of the shared library, and they are erased when you delete your account.
Your cookie choices
Necessary cookies keep you signed in and protect sign-in and forms, and they are always on. The only optional kinds, "Preferences" and "Analytics and attribution", stay off until you turn them on.
- Open Settings and the "Profile" tab.
- In the "Cookies" row, click "Cookie settings".
- Choose which optional categories to allow, then click "Save my choices".
You can also use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the website pages, or the button on the Cookie Policy page.
Delete what you made
- Ideas: in the "Private idea vault" card on the "Profile" tab, click "Delete all my ideas" and confirm with "Delete everything". You can also delete one evaluation at a time in the vault. Projects, build packs and launch kits you made from an idea stay until you delete them.
- Ask TrendGap conversations: if you use Ask, delete one with "Delete conversation", or all of them with "Delete all". Credits already used are not returned.
- Share links: click "Revoke" next to a link on the "Share links" tab.
- Optional emails: click "Turn off all optional emails" on the "Email" tab. Account, security and billing emails are always sent.
Delete your account
- Open Settings, the "Profile" tab, and scroll to "Danger zone".
- Click "Delete account".
- Read the dialog, type DELETE in the box, and click "Permanently delete".
- If your last sign-in isn't recent enough, TrendGap asks you to "Sign in again" first. Sign in, then repeat the steps.
- Your account, saved ideas, tracked niches, claims and everything stored with them are deleted. This can't be undone.
- Any active subscription ends immediately, without a refund for the unused time. To keep your access to the end of the period, cancel first and delete your account after that date.
- A few records stay, without your name or email. For example, we keep a scrambled code made from your email address. It can't be turned back into your address, and it stops the same address from getting welcome credits or a free trial twice.
- Backups keep earlier copies for a limited time.
- Polar keeps its own records of your purchases, such as invoices.
