The Idea Evaluator page is TrendGap's free idea check. Anyone can open it. To run a check, you need a free account. No credit card is needed.
Run a quick check
- Open the Idea Evaluator. If your menu shows "Idea Evaluator", it opens the same page.
- If you are signed out, click "Sign in free to run a quick AI check", then sign in or create your account.
- Type your idea under "Describe your idea": who has the problem, what the problem is, your solution, what makes it different, and who pays. The checklist under the box shows which parts your text names.
- Click the "Quick check" button. It shows how many of your included checks are left this month.
What the result shows
- A verdict, "GO", "CONDITIONAL" or "NO-GO", with a score out of 100 based on the Gap Score factors. If there is too little measured data, the result says so instead of showing a score.
- A "Quick take": one short line written by AI.
- "Evidence we found": niches TrendGap found in real complaints that match your idea, with quotes.
The score and the verdict follow published rules on data TrendGap measured. The AI only picks the matching niches. See The Gap Score.
On Free, some matching niches stay locked: they show a padlock instead of their name. If the score used a locked niche, you see the verdict without the number. Every paid plan opens every niche.
How many checks you get
Every plan includes some quick checks each month, and Pricing lists how many. The count is shared with the idea evaluator inside the app. When your checks are used up, a paid plan can run more for credits if extra checks are on sale. You confirm the price in "Run a paid quick check?" first. On Free, the page tells you when your checks reset.
Your check stays private
Each check is saved in your private idea vault, and the page explains the promise under "Private idea vault". Your idea is never published, never used for TrendGap's own research and never used by TrendGap to train models.
To remove a check, click "Delete" under its result. To remove them all, use "Delete all my ideas" in Settings on the "Profile" tab.
How it differs from Validate
This page gives you the quick check. The idea evaluator inside the app, under "Validate", adds more when it is available on your account:
- The "Track", "Region" and "Tone of the critiques" options.
- Your "History" of runs, with the change between runs of the same idea, and the "Private vault" page.
- Full reports with demand, incumbents, risks, critiques, pivots and next steps, paid with credits.
- "Save & watch this market", "Compare ideas", share links and PDFs.
When Validate is available to you, this page also offers "Improve my description" and a link under each result: "Open it in the full evaluator".
